FBCZ Overview
We are First Baptist Church located in Zachary, Louisiana. We also refer to ourselves as FBCZ for short. Zachary is approxiamtely 18 miles north of Downtown Baton Rouge. Click here for a map to our church.
FBCZ is a Southern Baptist church, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, and are members of the William-Wallace Association. We are very active in supporting missions work, from local support to internationally.

Worship
Worship plays a key role at First Baptist Church. More than music, worship is an expression of our hearts to God. It is time not only to listen to teaching, but to participate in praise and respond to God's leading. Worship is more than singing and sermons. It's a lifestyle that honors God, every way, every day.
Sunday School
Bible Study in small groups is the "bread and butter" of our church. Adult groups are built around age and/or interests. Excellent Bible study opportunities under qualified teachers are also offered for preschoolers, children and students.
Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at First Baptist Church focuses our worship. The Celebration Choir and Orchestra lead music in our Sunday services. These groups are open to all adults. Also, praise teams, singing and handbell ensembles, Youth and Children's Choirs are some of the other groups that lead in our worship as we express our praise through music and drama. Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day musicals and pageantry are special times of celebration during the year.
Students
Our Student Ministry (better known as the Youth Ministry) provides opportunities for Middle School and High School students to be challenged by the Word of God, to be led in passionate praise and worship, and to grow closer to other Christian students. We offer FAITH and discipleship training. Join us in the excitement of knowing and loving Jesus Christ!
Singles
The Singles Ministry offers support, encouragement and relevant Bible truths to the Singles of FBCZ and our community.
Senior Adults
The purpose of the Senior Adult Ministry is to reach out to the senior adults in our church and community. by helping them remain active and enjoy fellowshipping with one another. In addition to Sunday School, we provide a monthly meeting with programs that are of interest to this age group which are followed by a luncheon. Monthly local trips are also available.
Fellowship
The purpose of the Fellowship Ministry is to offer opportunities to enjoy time together and recreational events while having a focus on our relationship to Jesus Christ. Much of the Fellowship Ministry takes place in our Family Life Center. We offer basketball, Upward Basketball, softball, T-ball, Coaches' Pitch and volleyball leagues, fitness classes, craft classes, fishing and golf tournaments, banquets, fellowships, and summer camps (basketball, drama, cheerleading) throughout the year.
