Tiny Hands

March 1, 2009

Dear Parents,

Today in the extended service we started a new worship service for the three and four year olds. we are excited about having this time for the preschoolers to sing and learn more about God. We will be sending home a monthly newsletter to keep you informed of some of the things we are learning in our preschool worship services.

Welcome!

We would like to thank you for allowing us at First Baptist Church, Zachary, to care for and teach your children about Jesus. In an effort to ensure every child's safety, the following procedures will be followed:

Emergency Procedures

  • In case of a fire alarm, all teachers have been notified of their fire alarm drill route. All teachers will follow these guidelines and direct each class to their appropriate area outside of the church building.

Illness and Medications

  • All parents/guardians are encouraged to have their child properly inoculated against childhood diseases.
  • A child CANNOT be accepted if:
    1. 1. An above normal temperature develops
    1. 2. Vomiting or diarrhea occurs

Feeding

  • No food, excluding bottles, should be brought from home for consumption during ANY childcare time (i.e., breakfast, dinner, McDonalds, etc.). This is due to the lack of supervision available for both those with food and those without.

Receiving and Dismissal of Children

  • At least two teachers are to be in each room at all times.
  • ONLYparent/guardian of the child, or other designated person, should bring or will be able to pick up the child. (NO SIBLINGS)
  • Parent/Guardian is to leave their child only if a teacher is present.

What to Bring and Not Bring

  • Personal jewelry, bows, toys, etc. should be labeled. Teachers will make every effort to see that a child returns home with these things. However, we cannot be responsible if they are lost or broken.
  • Personal toys are discouraged since other children could damage them.
