ONE WAY WE PUT OUR FAITH TO THE TEST
Putting Jesus Christ first in our finances is an action that shows we believe and trust that God is good and that He is the source of everything we have. We give not to get something back - we give because God gave everything to us and because we're made in His image. We reflect Him best when we give and faithfully steward what He's entrusted to us. Each act of giving becomes an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus - impacting lives in our community and beyond. Sacrificial Generosity is at the core of who God is. And as faithful believers, we can give sacrificially, knowing that He will provide all of our needs.
What Does the Bible Say About Giving?
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed

Trusting God with Your Finances
TITHING
The reason we give is because God is a giver. His very heart and nature, as shown throughout Scripture, is generosity. Because we’re created in His image, we’re most like Him when we give and steward all that He has entrusted to us.

Tithing is a biblical principle that means a tenth (10%). The first tenth, which belongs to God, is Holy and set apart for Him. When we bring our tithe to God, it means that we trust and acknowledge that He’s the giver of everything in our lives - our resources, our friends/family, our health and abilities. Tithing isn’t as much about finances as it is about faith. It’s not about what God wants from you but what He wants for you.

Tithing is about training our hearts to trust God at His Word. He gave us the greatest gift, His Son, and in response to this gift, we also give.

In Malachi 3:10, The Bible says we can test this promise. When we bring our first and best back to God, He promises to bless the rest of our resources so that we can be a blessing to others.
